What is Naproxen?

Naproxen is a powerful pain reliever from the non-steroidal anti-inflammatory drugs (NSAIDs) family. This group also includes well-known medications like aspirin, ibuprofen, and diclofenac. Naproxen provides stronger anti-inflammatory relief than aspirin and ibuprofen, and its strength is similar to diclofenac but with fewer side effects and risks.

Naproxen is effective in treating pain caused by inflammation, such as sprains and strains. It is also used to manage symptoms of various types of arthritis, including osteoarthritis, rheumatoid arthritis, and juvenile arthritis. This medication is available for adults over 18 years of age. Each pack contains 56 tablets, with available strengths of 250mg or 500mg.

To avoid stomach issues, Naproxen should be taken with food. If you’re using Naproxen for more than two weeks, it is recommended to also take a stomach-protecting treatment, such as Omeprazole, to reduce the chances of side effects. You can buy Naproxen online from courierpharmacy.co.uk after completing an online consultation form.

What is the Active Ingredient in Naproxen 250mg Gastro-Resistant Tablets?

The active ingredient in Naproxen 250mg gastro-resistant tablets is Naproxen 250mg. This ingredient provides pain relief and reduces inflammation. You can buy Naproxen online at courierpharmacy.co.uk after completing an online consultation form.

What is Naproxen Used For?

Naproxen is a non-steroidal anti-inflammatory drug (NSAID) that helps reduce pain and inflammation. It works by lowering the hormones that cause swelling. Naproxen is commonly used to treat conditions like muscle pain, rheumatoid arthritis, menstrual cramps, and gout. You can purchase Naproxen online from courierpharmacy.co.uk after completing an online consultation form.

How Does Naproxen Work?

Naproxen works by blocking the activity of cyclooxygenase (COX) enzymes in the body. These enzymes produce prostaglandins, chemicals that cause pain and inflammation at injury sites. By inhibiting COX enzymes, Naproxen reduces the production of prostaglandins, which helps to lessen pain and swelling. This makes it effective for treating conditions like arthritis, muscle pain, and other inflammatory disorders. You can buy Naproxen online from courierpharmacy.co.uk after completing an online consultation form.

How to Take Naproxen 250mg Gastro-Resistant Tablets?

Always follow your doctor's instructions carefully when taking Naproxen. If you are unsure, ask your doctor or pharmacist for guidance. It's important to take the smallest effective dose for the shortest time. The recommended doses are as follows:

For Rheumatoid Arthritis, Osteoarthritis, and Ankylosing Spondylitis:

  • 250-500mg every 12 hours.

For Acute Musculoskeletal Disorders:

  • Start with 500mg, then take 250mg every 6-8 hours as needed, not exceeding 1250mg in 24 hours.

For Acute Gout:

  • Start with 750mg, then take 250mg every 8 hours until the attack reduces.

For Elderly Patients:

  • Older individuals may experience more side effects, so treatment should start with the lowest dose for the shortest period. Regular monitoring by your doctor is necessary.

For Children:

  • Naproxen is not recommended for children under 16, except for juvenile rheumatoid arthritis. In this case, the dose is 10mg per kg of body weight daily, divided into two doses taken every 12 hours.

If You Take Too Much Naproxen:

  • If you accidentally take too many tablets, seek medical help immediately and bring the pack with you.

If You Miss a Dose:

  • If you miss a dose, skip it and take your next dose as scheduled. Do not double the dose to make up for the missed one.

You can buy Naproxen online from courierpharmacy.co.uk after completing an online consultation form.
