What is Priligy 30mg?

Priligy contains the active ingredient dapoxetine, which belongs to a group of medications called selective serotonin reuptake inhibitors (SSRIs). It is used to treat premature ejaculation by increasing control over ejaculation and helping to extend the time before it occurs. Priligy is designed for adult men aged 18 to 64 years who experience premature ejaculation.

What is the Active Ingredient in Priligy 30mg?

Each Priligy tablet contains 30mg of dapoxetine, the active ingredient that helps manage premature ejaculation.

What is Priligy 30mg Used For?

Priligy is used to treat premature ejaculation in men aged 18 to 64. This condition causes men to ejaculate too quickly during sexual activity, often with little stimulation. It can result in frustration and affect sexual satisfaction. Priligy helps extend the time before ejaculation, giving men better control and improving their overall experience.

How Does Priligy 30mg Work?

Priligy contains dapoxetine, a type of selective serotonin reuptake inhibitor (SSRI) that targets premature ejaculation. It works by increasing serotonin levels in the brain, which helps delay the ejaculation reflex. This gives men better control over ejaculation, reducing the frustration and distress often linked with premature ejaculation. By enhancing serotonin’s action, Priligy extends the time before ejaculation, improving sexual satisfaction.

How Do You Use Priligy 30mg?

Always follow the instructions provided by your doctor or pharmacist when using Priligy. If you’re unsure about how to take it, consult your healthcare provider.

  • The starting dose is usually 30 mg, which may be increased to 60 mg based on your response.
  • Take the tablet 1 to 3 hours before sexual activity.
  • Do not take more than one dose within a 24-hour period.
  • Swallow the tablet whole with at least one full glass of water to avoid a bitter taste and reduce the risk of fainting.
  • You can take Priligy with or without food.
  • Priligy is only suitable for men aged 18 to 64.
  • After 4 weeks or 6 doses, review your treatment with your doctor to decide whether to continue. After that, reassess the treatment with your doctor every 6 months.

If you take too much Priligy:

  • Contact your doctor or pharmacist. Overdosing can cause nausea or vomiting.

If you stop taking Priligy:

  • Speak to your doctor first. Discontinuing the medication may cause dizziness or sleep problems.

For further information, consult your doctor, pharmacist, or nurse.
