• new loss of movement or power in the limb

Fibromyalgia

• new severe or localised bone pain
• your pain first started after the age of 60
• difficulty rising from a chair or climbing stairs, or new muscle weakness (possible muscle disease)
• new shoulder and hip girdle pain and stiffness, especially if you are over 50 (possible polymyalgia rheumatica)

Psoriasis

These are the symptoms this condition usually causes. Widespread redness with feeling unwell, or widespread pustules, can be a dermatological emergency.

• widespread redness or shedding of the skin, feeling unwell or feverish (possible erythroderma)
• many pus-filled spots appearing over large areas, with feeling unwell or fever (possible pustular psoriasis)
• signs of skin infection (increasing pain, pus, spreading redness, fever)
• new joint pain, swelling or stiffness, especially in the morning (possible psoriatic arthritis)
• rapidly worsening or very extensive skin disease

Hashimoto’s thyroiditis

These are the symptoms this condition usually causes. LDN does not replace thyroid hormone. You must keep taking your levothyroxine and having your thyroid blood tests.

• a rapidly enlarging neck lump, difficulty swallowing or breathing, or a hoarse voice
• palpitations, tremor, feeling too hot, or unintentional weight loss (possible over-treatment or overactive thyroid)
• new neck pain with fever
• thyroid disease that has never been confirmed on a blood test

Hailey-Hailey disease

These are the symptoms this condition usually causes.

• painful grouped blisters or ulcers that are spreading quickly (possible viral infection)

Inflammatory Bowel Disease

These are the symptoms this condition usually causes. A severe flare needs urgent hospital assessment, not LDN.

• six or more loose stools a day with fever or a fast heartbeat (possible severe flare)
• severe constant tummy pain, a hard or very tender abdomen, or vomiting (possible blockage)

• significant unintentional weight loss
• bowel symptoms that have never been fully investigated

Vulvodynia

• bleeding after sex, between periods, or after the menopause
• abnormal or offensive vaginal discharge

Multiple Sclerosis
